Tuesday I went with a friend to a butterfly exhibit that was an hour's drive from where I live. The butterflies represented Asia, and South America.

I had two lens's with me, and for this one I used the Nikkor- 24/120 lens, trying to see how well it worked for a shot like this.

WB auto/ aperture f/4 and ISO 2000, shutter speed 1/2500s, focal length 48 mm with the Nikon D500.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Not a darn thing wrong with this shot, Tigs. You've captured this gorgeous butterfly very well. Wonderful colors in the butterfly and the plant.

That's a beautiful Green-Banded Peacock and it's in wonderful condition as well and with an expert photographer to show it off so beautifully!

Thanks for this wonderful butterfly image, Sandi. Thanks for providing us some Exif-data too. I wonder however why you've chosen this very fast shutter time. If the used lens 24/120 had a VR (Vibration reduction) feature, perhaps you could have used a somewhat slower shutter time, so improving the aperture and enhancing the DOF (if the latter would be possible, because your image has already an, for macro photography, excellent DOF.

Anyhow, a very fine one, my friend.
