I was hoping for a long narrative with some apostrophes, but your title says it all. I have found that blue-jays are very skittish. I guess feeding them keeps them still long enough for a shot, but I don't know how you get so close on shots like this.
Fine detail work, no noise, no complaints. I'm getting tired of saying nice things. It's not in my nature.
