My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
One of the main skills in photography as many of us know is patience! I have rushed many a shot and missed out. You should be proud of this one, good job!
You were really lucky to see this beauty at the feeder Tigs - wish I had one in my neighborhood - nice and clear and wonderful background - Great shot!!!!!!!!!
Sandi, I don't know whether we have in Europe such an Oriole as well. I haven't seen one in my area anyhow. Striking image. I wouldn't do you justice if I had said: 'Close to perfection', because it's a perfect one, my friend!

Saw this beautiful bird yesterday on Facebook. My hummingbird feeder sits three feet from a window and enables me to shoot hummingbirds, Orioles and various bees and wasps at my leisure. Looks like you were pretty darn close to this guy.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
What a striking bird this is
