While up here in the Irish Hills of Michigan, I went back to a place that Chris (Stylo) showed me last year. It a lovely nature area, and I was looking for birds that day. I did not see too many and it was really too windy as I was using the 80-400mm, but was thrilled to see this lovely swan just floating along, and feeding, and it did not seem disturbed by me.

Chris has showed me some really nice places, and I'm really enjoying my stay here.

Thank you for your comments.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

You got a good shot of the swan even if it is not in full. Nice details in this shot.

---and it did not seem disturbed by me---

Think it has higher priorities now, Sandi. A good opportunity (although the weather conditions weren't that optimal) to take a spontaneous 'portrait' of this graceful bird.

I like how you captured this beauty entering the frame.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Looks like the swan has found a delicious and tasty tidbit to much. Fine shot, Tigs.

Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
