I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

I saw one Friday morning while at a garden but couldn't get a shot. I thought it was a good sign to see one so early - great composition here Sandi!

Lucky You Tigs!!! As the name, monarch implies, they are such a majestic and amazing creature - I haven't seen any in my area - perhaps when my phlox begins to bloom, they will come for a nice sip of nectar - Great Capture!!!

Very nice catch. These guys start to get a bit ragged as the season goes on, so a fresh one is a real treat. Are you using the 100mm macro for these shots? That lens really shines in these situations. Another great one is the new Canon 100-400mm, the go-to lens for just about all wildlife shots. Many say you don't need a dedicated macro when you have that zoom, because closest focus is so short. I hope you have many happy shooting days this summer, and we all look forward to many beautiful pictures from you.

Compared with your recent posts, the subject matter is rather different now, but to me it's another 'wowser'!

Perfect close-up in all its aspects, my friend!

Well, I have to say he does look spectacular against the yellow flower. The lighting is wonderful on this.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
