While in Battle Creek, Mi. we went to this unique place. I have no idea what this is suppose to represent, but thought it made a good photo opt. One for Wacky Wednesday!
There are structures on some state and national historic sites in North Dakota that are 'ghosted", simple replicas of buildings in the same shape and position as previous structures. They're intended to show what a site may have looked like in its heydey. In some cases the "ghosting" is a rectangle of 12" x 12" timber that delineate the base of the building, while others show the outline of the floor, corners of the outer walls, and the roofline, in welded steel. While this is much more elaborate, showing window frames and brick mortar, perhaps that is the intent; showing where a building once stood? Was there no interpretation on it, like a plaque? I'm thinking it may be "ghosting" because I can see another corner of the "building" in the far right background, and there's some sort of circular device inside this corner, perhaps indicating a previous use of the building. Cool find.

I saw this one on Facebook and couldn't make any sense of it there either. It's obviously a metal frame sculpture of a home. Maybe it's an artifact from a contest long ago. I can see another in the background. Maybe there are stick figures hiding in the woods that live in them.
Dorothy Michaels: No, just Dorothy. Alan's always Alan, Tom's always Tom and John's always John. I have a name too. It's Dorothy, capital D-O-R-O-T-H-Y.
Someone has taken a lot of time and effort to construct this with "windows" and "walls". Nice find but kept in the wrong place. Dood one for w Wednesday.
I Googled "Attractions in Battle Creek, MI" and it wasn't shown in the list of images, but I don't think that someone would go to all the effort of creating it without some purpose--history, art, etc.

Okay, after your mentioning bridge park in your PM, Sandi, I found "Historic Bridge Park, Battle Creek, MI" and this photo... look kinda familiar? The plaque at the bottom and the curve over the carriage doors lists it as "Historic Bridge Shop," the word "Historic" being instrumental in its identification. So I'm now 99% sure the structure you photographed is supposed to represent another historic structure but their exhibit labelling leaves something to be desired.
