Oooh! (and no, that wasn't meant to sound like George of the Jungle... or Tarzan) My favorite zoo animal--dig those wild eyes--I think because they're so active, so communal, and their hands are so much like ours. They're a lot like us except, of course, for the obvious obsession with staring contests, excessive body hair, inappropriate scratching within view of the public, and that thing out the back... whaddaya callit... the tail! Seriously though, what a shot! And through the fence no less. Tack sharp focus, perfect color, comp that puts the face in the middle but the body offset, and glorious bokeh. A match for Garrett Parkinson's famous animal captures. A favorite, a keeper, and immediately into my wallpapers folder. Wow! I have to travel 100 miles to the nearest zoo that has these guys, so thanks loads, Sandi. It's a beaut!

Great closeup Sandi! We have these guys where I work at Busch Gardens. I read that the males defend themselves by spraying scents at rival males and its the females who take care of business so to speak.
Sandi, I was curious for some more details about the lemurs, and have search and found this information on the net. I was somewhat dazzled by 'discovering' so many species.
It's anyhow a cute animal. In spite of the difficult photographical conditions, you've provided us wit a very good capture, my friend!

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
