One from the calendar garden not too long ago. I think their life cycle, and long migration amazing. Soon they will be starting that long journey.

I appreciate your comments, thank you.

Jeez, Louise, yer blowin' us away with these photos, Sandi, one after another. Bright colors without the need for HDR, tack-sharp with perfect f-stop, outstanding bokeh and that out-of-focus purple stalk in front adds a ghostly touch. Whatever's in the background that is a lighter green, in the bokeh, makes it look like a shaft of light or an intimation of speed coming from the back of the monarch. Other than cropping in a little on the left and then the top so it fits my extra-wide monitor, 5 stars, hands down.

Nice tight focus and great composition! The calendar gardens is to you what Lettuce Lake is to me. Both places are great for capturing nature.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

So glad they are coming back, I see a lot of milkweed coming up for them. WE have to feed them and keep them coming, because they are a beautiful sight.

To me you're the queen when it comes to capturing Monarch's, Sandi.
This photo proves that I don't exaggerate, my friend!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Spectacular capture, don't know how you manage to get this so perfectly, timing is perfect, cause they really do move about quite a bit!
