Recently I took a drive to this park, and the Dahlias were up. I thought this one was standing proud, and wanted to be noticed. :)

I received an updated email from Kathy (trixxie17) Her mom's complications after eye surgery are clearing up. but then started to have fainting spells. She now has a pacemaker, and Kathy told me they are looking into a larger condo since she thinks it might be best to have her mom live with them. She still wants to come back to Caedes, but of course the family comes first.

Thank you for your comments, I do appreciate them.

An unusual and delightful dahlia Sandi. I really does lookas though it was waiting to be noticed.

Thank you for the update from Kathy. I hope things improve for her and that she is able to return when she is ready.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

Although I've seen a lot dahlia species, this one is very special Sandi, because of its shape and colors. An excellent Foofy Friday image, my friend!
If the weather will be acceptable (the prediction is good), I'll visit some dahlia gardens. I'm invited by the family, being specialists when it comes to dahlia's, to visit their gardens. The same gardens where I took my 'dahlia show' series in 2015 and 2016.

This is bursting at the seams with its clarity and bold coloring Tigz. Beautiful.
Prayers for Kathy and her mother.

It almost looks like a carnival pinwheel, or some cheery individual smiling and waving their right hand. The lighting is just right--no burns or washout--the colors brilliant--no need for HDR--the bokeh is exceptional, and the position of the flower allows the bokeh to also have a presence. Outstanding, as usual, Sandi. I'm keeping this one, thanks.
