I took this one yesterday evening, sometime after 7:00 pm. Last year when I was up here I met a very nice lady while enjoying a beautiful sunset who lives up here, they had bought a house that was in need of renovation, she told me it was the only way they could afford to buy a home here, as it's pricey! Well a year later I ran into her again, and we got to enjoy another beautiful sunset together, and visit again. She told me the renovations are done, so now they just enjoy life here on Grand Mere.

I appreciate your comments, thank you.

This is quite a stunner Sandi - the sun through the leaves and reflected on the water is lovely and not easy to capture so well.
How nice to meet up with your friend again.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Pretty scene with the view between the trees and the shimmering water. That tree against the sun looks nice.

Sandi, when photographing, one often meet interesting people who have a story to tell. I've read in your narrative that this is the case for you as well.
That makes photography a special hobby, that don't provide the photographer only with beautiful pictures, but friends and / or special memories as well.

Lovely and moody sunset shot, my friend!

I'm guessing this pleasant view is at the state park there? Quite a difference from Chicago across the lake.

That's a stunner Sandi. I think that would be a marvelous place for a home. Just think you could enjoy this view all the time.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
