It appears Tom's ear is sporting a fight trophy. So you're having a warm lap, warm hand, and a warm goosh while thinking warm thoughts about the rest of us? Right on! Happy Day of peace right back to you (my 36-year-old son was just erroneously joking[?] about the day being about celebrating the white man's triumph over the native Americans... he's a good guy but history is not his strong suit... so I tell him that Thanksgiving is a celebration of the first, best giving of thanks for the anglo settlers in this country... giving thanks to surviving their journey here and a winter, due mainly to the help and teaching they received from the Wampanoag indians, who they invited to join them in their celebration... the original celebration was a three-day festival of eating in November of 1621 [and most likely didn't involve a turkey, but rather venison, and no potatoes or pumpkin pie]... in 1863, President Abraham Lincoln, prompted by a series of editorials written by Sarah Josepha Hale [originator of "Mary Had A Little Lamb"], proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day, to be celebrated on the final Thursday in November... long after George Washington had first done so, in 1789, proclaiming it as a national holiday).

Happy that your cats are the snuggling kind. Our cats are the outside variety. They just look at the door thinking something wonderful is going to come out of it. It usually takes the form of my wife baby talking them and feeding them their cat food. When that doesn't happen they just sit there looking at the door oblivious to the fact the we humans are their caregivers...it must be the door that mesmerizes them. Cute picture and a Happy Thanksgiving to you Sandi.
