A Sandhill Crane at Sunset, at Jasper Pulaski Wildlife area. Not only did we see thousands of cranes, but the deer count was over 40, and two fox. This area is very remote, and after going here for several years, I finally found out where there is a restroom, and a place to eat. :) Both very close by! I always made a stop at a gas station about a half hour away for my pit stop, now I don't have to do that anymore, its just down the road, at the DNR office area.

I appreciate your comments, thanks!

Well timed and very good shot of the crane in flight just above the treeline and against a beautiful sky.

The low flying crane looks good silhouetted against the sky and trees Tigz.
Since I see trees, I know where to go for a pit stop. "Bark, Bark!"

This is stunning Sandi - I like the wide panorama effect.

The sombre tones and that lone bird silhouetted against the sky gives such a peaceful quiet mood to this scene...wonderful shot, SAS.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Quite lovely and serene, Sandi. I pulled a copy and lifted the brightness just a tad. I realize that at dusk it can get rather dark for a photo, but that brightness lift I did in Photoshop kept the great color in the sky while making the sandhill a little easier to see. Just a thought. Regardless of my blathering, a five-star photo.

A serene capture Sandi. With the low light you managed a great action shot.
