Is this actually black and white? My eyes say there are yellows and blues in this image. Not that I'm complaining. I like the effect -- it almost sparkles with the muted colors. It is an interesting effect.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Amazing textures in here and that solid gray in the sky has a creaminess and a temperature that actually brings a touch of blue to the image, to my eyes, anyway. You've been able to keep the burn of the sun to a minimum so that the horizon line of trees snaps into clarity, and your placement of the horizon dead center may "violate" the vaunted rule of thirds, but we all know rules were meant to be broken, and in this case the dark horizon in the center provides stability and connectivity to all the smaller details in the clouds and water ripples. Instead of being a collection of shapes it's all connected because of your composition. Well done, Sandi.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
