Facing off with this squirrel, I was surprised that he did not scamper off, I had the window open for this shot.
Raj has mentioned that when he opens his door the birds don't come. I noticed that too, but I did manage to get some, but the activity at the feeder slows down when the window is open, they must sense something.

Years ago I had made fast friends with about a dozen squirrels in the grove of trees behind my office, one being a step ahead of the rest by spending his lunchtime sitting on my boot to eat his peanuts. When he finished one he would stand up and pat me on the leg for another nut. Co-workers who would see this would stand and stare, huge smiles on their faces. Your closeup of this guy reminds me so much of those days when that trusting face would look up at me.

Excellent capture. My grandfather had a pet squirrel when I was a kid. It would peek out of the top of his bib overalls. Thanks for the great memory.

Very good image Sandi. I used to enjoy the squirrel activity in our trees...they would stare at me and bark. It was quite enjoyable. Now we have a bunch of cats around. No more squirrels. Doesn't mean I hate cats just miss the other creatures that used to show up.
