Managed a capture of this finch at my favorite garden, and was using my 70-200mm.
I want to send a Mothers Day wish to my Caedes friends who are, and I hope you all have a pleasant day.

Thanks for the wish and the beautiful Springy photo. We usually go to the Botanical Gardens, but it's rainy and bad so we will have to do something else. Have a nice day yourself!

Love the focus on the branch & bird. Goldfinches flit around quickly & can be hard to capture (I have tried :).

Those fuchsia and green splashes of bokeh in the back, and in particular the red petals above the finch really do speak Spring. The bird itself, placed off-center like this, is like the cherry on top of the chocolate sundae... it draws the eye. In a scene and a season that is packed full of enticing and moving elements, with growth and critters in love with the return of warm days and fragrant air, it's hard to stop and look at just one thing at a time. Your photo freezes this element and allows us to enjoy it for as long as we want, like... say... a screen wallpaper perhaps? ;o] Thanks for sharing, Sandi.
