If I remember right on the right side that you see here - is the equipment that was used to raise the submarine to the surface. Mr. C. might have more knowledge of what you see. Thanks for commenting. tigs=^..^=
Sandi, thanks for another very interesting picture of the USS Silversides moored as a museum ship in Muskegon. Your description is right as this picture shows us (on the right) the depth control panel with depth gauges. The wheels are the bow and stern plane wheels to control the submarine's depth and angle.
