I sure like the softness in this photo, but in a way I kind of wish the front Tulip would be sharper and the back ones would fade a bit. I like your idea tho. Hope you'll post more soon. so you live in Dallas, I lived in Ft. Worth for a while. Welcome to caedes, I'm sure you'll like it here. Verena

I think you took it with f1.4. The result is a very tiny DoF.
I like the idea, but here you've to try with f2.8 or f4.0 for a better result IMO.

The colors of the tulip are quite beautiful and help compensate for the diminished dof.

Nice close-up. With bracketing lens aperture 2.8 5.6 11.0 I can just imagine the unfolding dof differences.
