Excellent photography and I love the pensive look in her eye. Wonderfully captured, Tim! I love portraits in B/W. It looks like she is looking over the rail of a boat or a pier.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

HI ALL, SORRY IF IT TAKES ME A BIT OF TIME TO GET BACK TO YOU ALL, BUT THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR THE WONDERFUL COMMENTS OF LATE . . . Mark . . . No trees were killed in the sending of this message. However, a large number of electrons were terribly inconvenienced.
Well ... I suppose the comments and posts above mine here, tell you that you did indeed, achieve success with this shot.
Really nicely done Tim.
Good DOF, nice contrasts ... annnd ... if this is a hand held shot, further kudos on that.
Curious though as to how a colour conversion to B & W would have turned out? Perhaps, some food for thought next time ... two shots; as to compare. Just a suggestion.
The only thing that I can't put to you for consideration ... and this is no slight at all against your visual offering here ... would be to take a 'wider' shot.
Don't know if you have a wide angle lens ... but, my thinking here is to literally have some more space in front of your model/sister ... with her positioning/placement, slightly off center ... and allow for some more interpretation and presence of some 'distance' in the left hand side for your viewers.
That make any sense to you?
Purely an artistic call, nothing more.
Yeah, nicely done ... I like the mood and feel of this one a lot. Thanks for sharing your efforts ... and talents. :o)
