We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

I spent so much time reading the discussion and all the links that I forgot I didn't comment earlier today ;) I think you did a great job editing here, especially the detail on the girl. I like the sky, it's a beautiful blue, but maybe a touch too deep for my taste in this particular shot. I would like that shade for a more fantasy type setting but would prefer it more subdued for realism here, although I like this better than in the original. I thoroughly agree about taking the blue tint out of the sand, good call on that one Tim :) But I do wish someone clone stamped out the jet line in the sky, I find it distracting. But overall you did some excellent work on this not to mention the most time consuming part, explaining it all! That was very helpful too! :~)

I like the crispness and for me the deep blue is great - did you use a polariser? It's a cool effect, makes for a very surreal shot, very nicely manipulated!
