The harbour of Juan-les-Pins France, one of the very rare bad-weather-days at the Mediterranean,
A seven shot HDR, with no tripod, my cam just rested on those rocks,

I just printed this image 45cm (18") wide from my 4mp file, and it looks astonishingly sharp, (~8

Hope you'll enjoy it as well
Kind regards
Tim

Oh, thanks for all your comments on my previous images, I'll try to keep up with them, (it's a very busy time for students like me at this moment of the year tough)

I'm astounded by this.. You did a great job with the comp, aside from the horizon being slightly tiltd, but the HDR effect and the contrasting colors are insane! I would print this one as well.
Thanks for sharring, I really got to get involved with HDR. Makes me sic! ;)

Wow one of your best ever!! the hdr like has been said before works wonderfully well!! i love the foreground, it really makes you feel as if youre getting sucked in there!! shame about the noise in the sky which is the only downside to hdr in my opinion, (not just your shot, most hdr shots are noisy) did you try running it through neat image?

I WILL STILL VIEW EVERY IMAGE OF MY FRIENDS AND STILL COMMENT ON SOME IF I CAN GIVE A GOOD CRITIQUE OR MENTION WHAT I LIKE OR FEEL IS REALLY WORKIN’ WELL IN THE IMAGE. That's a wonderful shot Tim, beautifully composed with the curve of the rocks on the left and the depth of colour and translucence of the water are amazing. I think Jan's right about the noise in the sky but it's hard to avoid with HDR. To my faves it goes - fantastic work Mr VdB, you certainly graduated from the photography class!!

Very impressive Tim! I may print this one out as well if you don't mind, we have a room it would go well in :) Love the perspective and I don't believe the horizon line is off, I think the curve of the mountains can make it seem that way in shots like this sometimes but it looks right to me. Excellent work m'dear :)))

Tim ... a superb ... superb ... composition. Brilliant.

I hesistate in making mention of any shortcomings. Sky is a tad noisy. Had to look at the largest resolution to notice that element. And here I am wondering if the jpg'ing by the site's software is more responsible, since you say in your accompanying narrative that the print is so clean. No matter.

The only ... only, real caveat I have is with the colourations of the boats themselves. I suspect that what my eyes are seeing here are not far off the mark ... however, perhaps some adjustment in the tone mapping is in order?

And please know, that my words above are a friendly push ... nothing more, nothing less.

I happen to think that this is quite spectacular. And the +favs was an aforethought before I placed these words here.

Take a bow ... and a curtain call ... or two. Most impressive work.

And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us. :o)

p.s. Good luck with your studies.
