"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts." Bertrand Russell
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
I like constructive criticism. So dont be offended by me... I mostly I am honest so that you are honest with me as well. I want to know how I can improve.
Very nice. I like the way you can see the texture on the petals. The blurry stem and leaf in the background make great aesthetic sense, but I wonder about the sepal. Was the fact that they''re not in focus an aesthetic choice, or a depth-of-field issue?
Thanks for asking Platypus, considering the sepal’s proximity to the stem I would expect them to show a similar level of sharpness. I wanted to blur everything except the blossom, so I guess it was an aesthetic choice.
Beautifully lit. Love the contrast of the white against the black. Great depth of field, the soft blurring of the stem & leaf leads the eye to the crips textured petals. Great job!
how did you get the black background? i never seen anything in nature like that b4 lol or did you pick the rose and put it over black background? ahh whatever still a gorgeous rose! i always loved white ones!
A beauty. Only one suggestion. Flip the photo so that there is more black on the left of the screen so the rose doesn't get obstructed by desktop items. Otherwise. Perfect. Cheers Al.
wow i'm really surprised that you made this without any real editing, or studio stuff, thats such amazing contrast. i love the shadows on it, this really stands out from most other flower pictures
yes...it is better late then never...especially for this 1...very glad u posted it...the contrast and the clarity are AMAZING...10/10 here and into my faves...i luv the fact that the background is completely black...its provides such a great contrast to the wonderful white flower..gooooooddd job :^D
What a pretty picture this is. The beautiful white flower against the black background makes it stand out that much more. I think it inhances its beauty. Great work!
Really good. The b&w contrast is great. the detail stands out better so. the choise of the name is also great. If the name was something like 'a nice white flower' the whole pic wouldn't have been so interesting. not far from perfect (but of course perfect is impossible to attain..)
I saw a peanut stand, heard a rubber band,
I saw a needle that winked its eye.
But I think I will have seen everything
When I see an elephant fly.
