A horse farm stands out like an oasis in the drought parched upper hunter valley during August 2004. Critique welcome.

Very nice landscape Robert and such a beautiful tree. What type of bird is that on the lower left branch? It looks very similar to a bird we have called a Magpie. Great capture:-)

I love the "layers" in this image Robert. There are the clouds, then the mountains (or hills), the bare plains, the river, then your oasis, and finally the parched grass! Very stunning image. The single tree adds even another dimension to this already great photo! Quite a capture. Into my fav's on my HD & thank you :))

Your depth of field is amazing. If you're shooting digitally, please let me know the settings! It must be film, though, it's just too beautiful!

Even though several man-made touches are noticeable, the idyllic expanse of the plains still appears remarkably pleasing to the eye. This is a wonderful image, thanks for sharing. Hunter Valley = wine, mmmm...

Oh I love the wide open spaces portrayed here. What a beautiful view. I found my eyes sweeping back and forth, again and again, looking at all that there is to look at in this
composition. I love the fawn colored grasses at the forfront, then the bright green pastures, then the hills and finally the sky. Great variety. I'll keep this one.
