But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
This is fantastic! I wish I could just "stop for coffee" somewhere this beautiful lol. Livin out in the city, we don't have more than a sewer pipe here and there to take a picture of. A marvolous picture Rob, two thumbs up and a tylers honorable, favorties prize.
I love the reds and green of the lichens. Also you just can't go wrong with a nice waterfall, can you? This one drips here and there off the rocks abd gives a directed meandering feeling. Also it looks like there was a light breeze the day you shot this. You used a narrow aperture, and the breeze smeared the leaves a little bit. All in all very pretty and restful. I think you'll get high marks on this one.
"Once you have heard the lark, known the swish of feet through hill-top grass and smelt the earth made ready for the seed, you are never again going to be fully happy about the cities and towns that man carries like a crippling weight upon his back."
- Gwyn Thomas
This is beautiful Robert. It reminds me of some of our waterfalls. I really didn't know Australia had such beautiful waterfalls. 10x10 and in my favorites.
Hey, Robert, sorry I missed this it is a beautiful shot. Just everything about it works well together, colors, framing, flowing water, mist in the air. Great capture of a beautiful place.
Chris. I was taught that Red, Green and Blue are additive primaries and that Cyan, Magenta and Yellow are subtractive primaries. Thank you for the compliment :-)
Just the perfect exposure for this Robert. The small trails make this shot so relaxing to the eyes. The different angle that the the mainstream is at adds to the beauty of the shot. Great job...I am taking notes from this one;-) Is this Sumersby Falls?
I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
Normally, I don't like the motion captures of water, all that much. But ... but ... this one has me rethinking my prejudice. This image and additionally, one of your other photos of waterfalls, took me by surprise.
I would be interested to see the results of a series of photos with different aperture settings as well as shutter speeds. The scene is exquisite and you have captured the beauty of it.
Hey ... did you know that there was a whole category for waterfalls? I didn't, lol.
So, back for a return trip and now, a much more seasoned member ... into my fav's, as this one is really nice. That red in the rock keeps me fascinated ... ohh, look ... shiny ... kidding, nice work, once again.
This image is perfect, there is no other way to describe it. The soft feel to the water, the flat rocks forming the falls, even the little bit of red in the rock for contrast. Amazing shot. Great job.
Another superb shot. So that's a coffee falls....I would have sworn it was a water fall. Big smoke eh? Oh I get it now.....after the big smoke you just think that is a coffee falls.
Great composition with the diagonal movement, the colours in the rocks definitely had to be included, the exposure time was *just right* for that volume of water, but it still looks like water, all in all a fabulous shot. I'd be drinking LOTS of coffee every time I stopped here. lol.
No Sig, Just, I want to say "Thank You" to all of the pure talented photographers for giving me the most beautiful desktop and screensaver I could imagine. The artistry here is breathtaking.
