What a tender beautiful photo!! The whole things gives so much feeling! I can almost feel the peace and quiet...the colours are soft and earthy...and the way the trees are leaning towards the little pathway..brings the eye straight there...off into nothingness...fog has a way about making us feel protected somehow I think. I can just imagine a couple walking hand in hand along here..whispering about all kinds of magical things...My daughter is getting married so I guess Im into this sort of "romantic" setting..thanx for posting this! Its just gorgeous!
"Shoot honey. I told you we should have left the kids and dog at home! Another missed opportunity!" Robert, you really should have put up that fake "Restricted" sign and given us old folks a chance! ;)- A beautiful photo. For reasons well stated by Verena and what strikes me as different are all the fall colors on the ground but the trees still attempting to hang on to their green. Even the potholes add to the charm.
When I first looked at this image, I honestly thought somebody put fog in the background via manipulation! What a wonderful composition you have here Robert. I can't be the 'young' couple anymore, but I certainly can be the tourist!! Kudo's to you my friend :))
You have so much talent and a superb photographic eye. Are you entering any of these in your camera club's contests, or any contests for that matter? I wish that I could give you a 20 but 10 must do.

"a popular spot with young couples and the occasional tourist".... hello where is everybody? Were they scared of the wet mist in the morning or was it so damn early and everybody was still dreaming in bed?
The capture is awsome. I like the silent mist spreading invasively among the park trees. Thank you for sharing.
Well, perhaps I am learning and I have you to thank ... lol a little on that statement.

And now a few words ...
Ohh, this ... this is nice. You have indeed succeeded in capturing a 'feel.' Mystical? A little foreboding?
Excellent composition, as always. Great balance. I love the way the rich colours in the fallen leaves anchor this image. Such a contrast with the mist and fog and a truly highly imaginative and suggestive sky. Fantastic light ... really nice.
I will add one caveat ... view this at full size. Thanks for such great work and for sharing.

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was, is lost, for none now live who remember it. -Lord of the Rings, The Fellowship of the Ring
Oh, I don't know where to start, you've already gotten such wonderful comments on this beautiful picture already. The thing I like best about this picture is the atmosphere. It just evokes SO much. It looks like a beautiful morning to wake up to, and walk out and sit somewhere enjoying a warm cup of coffee.
Atmosphere to me is everything. MIsty days and nights are so beautiful.
I love pictures like this because it makes me wish I were there. Scenery like this does it to me every time whether it be fall or winter, I just want to leave where I am and go there to get away from it all. Thanks for posting it and giving me somewhere to relax.
This just makes me realise what a beautiful country we live in - we so are blessed to live in Australia! Mesmerising, enchanting.....what more can I say?
like the POV, always like fog, thanks for the desktop...
