oh my friend, u really like to caught this kind of fellas...well, it looks so fine for me, very clear, neat and amazing colors. I love the clarity on all your photos. great work!!!
Oh yeah, I know that little fella' well! They had a time here last year, kept finding those little shells all over things...lol! This is an awesome capture, very clear and the darker background works excellent here!
Great close-up of the Cicada's shell. So intricate! Good sharp focus on the bug. Down here in the deep south we call them "Katydids", because of the sound they make. Hey, check out my caterpillars at Munching Azaleas, and let me know what you think. Thanks!

Why is it a memory of youth? I mean, it is for sure. We were always exploring. Climbing trees, crawling through bushes, we were always looking for something. We found these more than I wanted to in late summer. As adults, we don't find ourselves as explorers anymore. The cicada shells will no longer be just on the next branch we climb onto. Cicada shells, memories of childhood exploration. Thank You.
Wow....this is an exceptional image. The clarity is awesome and the detail is great. This picture takes me back to my childhood, I would find these shells alot and always wonder what type of insect was in it..now I know. Great work. Fabulous!!! High marks here all the way!!
Hah! This reminds me of my youth in Northern California! We had these little guys all over the trees in the spring and summer time. We'd pull them off the trees and collect them after the mature adults had flown away from the empty shells.
Ahh, memories!! Congrats on making the home page display with this!
p.s. If you get a chance, take a look at my gallery. Any comments, criticisms, advice, etc. on any of my pics would be greatly appreciated.
