Excellent perspective. You caught just enough of the top side of the bird to give us a preview of it's color. I love it's headgear. I should have a hairdoo like that.
Well done.

Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Absolutely perfect capture of this cheeky cutie. Somehow you've brought out all his beauty. Such composition, clarity and detail! He's perfect on his perch keeping a look out with those sharp eyes. Love his coloring with the touch of gold - and you know he's proud of his sideburns :) This should be a HIGH marker. Your work is very impressive Robert :^>
Wonderfully captured Robert! I love the streaks of gold that are visible as well as the incredible detail that you captured. The lone branch is perfect to showcase this 'cheeky' bird. Our feathered friends are so much fun to photograph. Thanks for sharing your friend with us. He is going to perch in my favorites folder on my hard drive and then I can run him in my screensaver slideshow program. :~)

Glad I took a closer look st this. I thought it was the same type we have in WA (where I used to live) but then I saw the spectacular cheek feathers! Apart from that it looks very similar (I think they are called Rufus honeyeaters?) So only a small difference, but what a difference...
A very wonderful photo. Thanks for brings a new variety bird to my awareness. I have to laugh - Cheeky Honeyeater sound like an alias for an x-rated movie actress.
Well done.
