Stunning post Robert. The clarity and textures are amazing. The blue background is perfect. What a dynamite post and a keeper for sure. Thanks for this one.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Oh my! Lunch in progress. I'd say this is quite a capture. You were there at just the right moment. Poor dragonfly, but alas, that was his destiny! Beautiful shot, Robert!
This little beaut doesn't seem to be afraid of you Robert!....Always thought they were very shy creatures!.....Did you have a 'tree' camouflage suit on?.....I see it's eating a dragon fly...I just snapped one o' them yesterday! too.........Super catch mate...and an excellent composition.!
My goodness, this is amazing! What a perfect capture of this bird and his dinner! Not only are the colors, clarity and detail perfect, but the composition is excellent.
Wow Robert, you did really good on this capture! The composition is spot on as is the clarity and the color. You also achieved doggone good high quality for standing in a tree! I am most amazed by the detail though..to be able to see the dragonfly in the Kingfisher's mouth and to see the wings, including the transparency of them is incredible. This goes right to my favorites folder on my hard drive and will be my desktop when I return from vacation so I can sit and enjoy the beauty of this image. Kudos to you my friend. Thank you for sharing this with me ;=)

I wouldn't expect nothing but some high quality capture from you Robert. Amazing how you managed to climb the tree and not to scare the bird away. It would be great to know what kind of equipment and what settings did you use to end up with such a magnificent wildlife scene?
A magical shot - what a capture. I imagined these birds to be larger - or it it just a very big dragonfly lol
The clarity and colours in this are fantastic.
Robert, what a great image, wonderful composition and you caught him with his mouth full, lol.
Excellent desktop! Oh and the blue skies are just dreamy! You should see the snowstorm we are experiencing, and there is so much accumulated it is depressing, in October none the less, eek!

Just saw this in the voting booth. I can see why the c-index is currently 100:100. Perfect clarity, composition. Astonishing detail. At least you didn't claim to shoot it out a car window while driving by (long running joke with Jerry). Hmmm. Not in the same tree... also very funny...
Well he looks satisified with his catch. I'm amazed that you climbed a tree, yet did'nt distract him. Wonderful composing and clarity. The shape of that branch limb is flattering and has great texture with that rough bark. Mr.Kingfisher is quite handsome, with gorgeous colouring. Perfect blue sky background. Super job Robert..always love your bird images :*>

Absolutely tremendous. A photograph to be envious of. This is one of those chance in a million photos that photographers of all levels dream about catching in their lens's field of view!! You've hit the jackpot with this splendid piece of work. Very well done.
