I was sneaking ever so quietly up to an Eagle on a post when I came across this chap. Well you know what they say about a bird in the hand don’t you? The Eagle can wait for another day.
Too bad you didn't get the shot of the eagle, Robert, but when opportunity knocks, seems to me, in photography anyway, you ought to take it. And you did. Nice crisp, sharp focus on the bird, nice blurred background sending all attention to the bird. Bird placed offcenter. What's more to say? Good job.
*You will have noticed that I haven't been commenting as much on your fine images!..This is because of the pains in my hands!..the constant use of the keyboard, makes this difficult..so, my dear friends..I can only apologise to you all in advance!*

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

I'm sure the eagle is sticking around to get his picture taken - but I'm glad you choose this handsome fella today. I like the detail and colours you've captured. He looks grand standing on that post. I like seeing his skinny legs and those funny feet :) Another fine bird capture - thanks Robert :*))
I have seen many posting of egrets or herns. And of course, we have gobs of them here in Louisiana. But, this is so good, I will have to save it. Great capture. Love the clarity of that eye.

Great, you have decided to spare him a minute or so. The bird stands out so well against the dark background. Wonder how close did you manage to get? It seems so undisturbed.
