Bussed to Las Vegas with the Cal Band for the Las Vegas bowl about a month ago. We left at 10 PM (from Berkeley) and got to Barstow at sunrise (about 2/3rds of the way there). Fortunately the McDonalds was open. :)

It's difficult not to caputre great colour in a sunset, which you've done here. That being said, try to cut out more of the "land" part of your image next time - you want as much sky as possible in a sunset shot!

I do love the sunset, the colours are stunning. but as krscully said try and cut out some of the land maybe crop the image and then give it a nice frame. the land is taking away from the actual subject. if you do redo it let me know i would love to see the end result.
