This shot is from the 5 acre Japanese Gardens at the Chicago Botanic Garden. This is one of the 3 islands. The first 2 are connected by small footbridges - this one,the third one, is not connected as it is reserved for the ancients. There is a small bench on the hill for them to visit. With much symbolism in the plants and hardscape elements, its carefully styled plants and judiciously placed stones, the garden is a tribute to the beauty of pure form. All comments and critiques appreciated.

So are you saying it will be a long, long time before you get to set foot on the island? A lovely view of the garden with beautiful colours and lighting. Very nicely presented.
