If you want a "picture" of wind here it is. There was a small sliver of sunlight behind me but the winds were about 35 - 40 MPH as an early winter storm approached this inlet at Bailey's Harbor Wisconsin. The white line in the background is the whitecaps on Lake Michigan. Taken in early October - the next day snow was flying. All comments and critiques appreciated.

I guess if you could capture the wind, this is what it would look like. You sure moved West to capture this one, Kathy. Despite the wind and the chill, it looks like a very pretty inlet.

"Grab the defibrillator!! Clear!! [Whap - No pulse] Clear!! [Whap]. Okay, we have rhythm."

See what you've done. You nearly killed Dorothy and Roger, Kathy. You have some nerve posting such a glorious landscape when I was expecting a flower shot. This isn't some grade school picnic. This is Caedes where you're supposed to act like a responsible adult and not an irresponsible child. Negligent homicide is very serious. You'd better watch your P's and Q's, young lady. (I never could make sense of that particular expression).

I see you're still playing around (quite successfully) with some of those artistic settings. When I looked at the shot in small scale (after they restarted my heart), I thought you had blown the shot because that bare tree at the top looks like it's melting. At full size I could see the oil painting dappled effect. The grasses in the foreground make it pretty clear that this wasn't a light breeze.

Excellent capture, great colors, love the dappled painting effect and I just simply can't think of anything to bitch about this shot. You are hereby awarded one "fave", one "atagirl" and the bill for my visit to the emergency room.

Roger

P.S. It's about time you started posting more landscapes. You're almost as bad as I am with your comfort zone.

I can tell by the grasses in the foreground it was really windy. Snow already? You can have it! LOL. Beautiful shoreline shot, Kathy.

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun

The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does. ~William Blake
