This is the view from my condo today during our first major snowstorm of the year - actually our first snowstorm of any kind. It's a very late start for the Chicago area. This is looking north towards the lake which is hardly visible - perhaps a patch of open water in the right central portion of the image. I know the snowflake border (from Picture It!) will annoy some folks, sorry just a bit of whimsy to brighten up the day. All comments and critiques appreciated.

We are supposed to get it tomorrow in Ohio. This is a beautiful winter shot, Kathy. I love the frame you used, too.

No snow in Poland. Just colder and cloudy. End of weather report. LOL
The image is lovely by all means, framing included.
Somewhat envious,

I have to say I'm not a fan of the framing. Perhaps make it transparent or fade out so it does not intrude so boldly into the scene. A lovely rare for this winter snow-bound scene. Any reason for the multiple areas of off colours throughout the scene? I can see patches of red, green, and yellow tinted areas. mostly in the shadows of the snow. A bit weird but not off-putting. Maybe clean the outside glass of the window you shot this photo through.

I just read Wendell's comment. I have to admit that I don't see any discoloration. The long and short of it is this. I love the shot but hate the frame.

What a white winter wonderland of new fallen snow, I like that blue lacy frame adds a nice touch of color!

Kathy - I am glad that you have shared this photo of the first big snowstorm. After last winter, and our October storm in Connecticut, I am very content to enjoy your snow via this image and not see any here! :-) (I do not see the digital noise to which Wendell refers.) Thad
