It's just a wee DT for St Patrick's Day - practically a national holiday in the Chicago area where I am. But I come by my Irish naturally - both my paternal grandparents were from Ireland. These are the flowers of shamrock plants and a few clovers thrown in for luck (clover from Picnik). All comments and critiques appreciated.

Not a drop of Irish blood in me, Kathy. I'm 50% Babylonian and 50% Phonetician although my mummy is from Egypt. :-)

I'm gonna have to check out this Picnik that I keep hearing about. I know you use some of the tools on Picnik on your fabulous flower shots to get that silky look that I've tried to fake for years now.

Not a big fan of the clovers since I lost a number of friends and relatives during the Cloverfield disaster, but the shamrock flowers look pretty nifty to me.

I'm not allowed to discuss the Irish side of the family. A lovely capture of the shamrocks, Kathleen. Beautiful colours and nice details in the photo.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
