This is an unusual red columbine and I was intrigued by how much the side view resembled a bird in flight. So I shot it that way and gave it a slight Orton treatment and a mirrored frame. A little different for me - what do you think? All comments and critiques appreciated.

Kathy, I do like this the actual capture, the title and the slight orton really sets it apart from the usual flower posting.

It does look about to fly away. Gorgeous colours and the reserved use of the orton effect works very well.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
