The creamer and sugar here were made by a Limoges company however they were sold undecorated to a Chicago decorating studio for finishing. There was a thriving china decorating industry in Chicago around the turn-of-the century and into the early 1930's - the largest and most well known company was Pickard which is still thriving today. I've tried to obtain pieces from all the various studios but some are more difficult to find. This is from one of the most difficult studios Whites Art Co. - and the use of the calla lilies and lily- of-the valley puts it firmly in the art nouveau style. All comments and critiques appreciated.
