This is a mum I had two years ago that couldn't decide what color it was - the buds looked like they were going to be a burgandy shade but when they opened they had a purple center and were an odd color red/pink. Never saw another one like it. I played with this image a bit and this is the result. Yea or nay? All comments and critiques appreciated.

The softening with those colors and that lighting, makes it look so delicate. Sure is a beauty. Surprises are nice, even if sometimes you thought you had chosen something else...like the burgundy glads I bought that came up orange?

Looks great to me, Kathy. I love the colors. In a way, it has an Orton Effect look. Very nicely done, Kathy.

It is a very unusual colour but attractive. I think you have softened the focus a bit which I like because red can sometimes look quite harsh.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Mum looks great in burgundy or red or whatever shade this happens to be on my monitor. A lovely bit of playing around. A nice softness in the colours and focus. Good details in the photo.
