This is the last of the baskets I found recently. This one contains cultivated varieties of what are usually wildflowers. The blue are Blue Bonnets found blooming in the spring in Texas and the yellow is Marsh Marigold common in boggy areas and marshland in the spring. You can barely see the handle of the basket in the upper right corner as both of these plants grow 12 -16".

Another wonderful springy image, Kathy the color contrasts work so well together, thanks for sharing these with us. I might have tried to clone out the handle but then on the other hand I might have given up. :) Tigs♥ =^..^=

I get altitude sickness at extreme heights. I'm not sure how you manage to trek around your village in the upper elevations of the Andes, but the rarefied air certainly shows in the crisp, clear shot of the beautiful basket of flowers.
As always this image is beautifully focused and filled with some major splashes of color.
Living at such elevation seems to be one of the reasons that the Kenyans and Ethiopians do so well at long distance running. Perhaps when you come down from your village, you can try the Chicago Marathon. Good luck.
