I know you told me once what software you use, Kathy, but I can't recall what you said. I do have your border software now although I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The composition is very good. Typically the entire shot is ablaze in color which makes my eyeballs bounce all over the screen. On this shot there's a single bloom that dominates the shot. As always the colors are great. The lighting is spot on. Your focus is unbeatable and your post photo work has the combination of sharp focus with your signature silkiness. "Faves" for me.

P.S. I've seen people writing "faved and saved". Do you think people really save other people's shots? My computer is crammed already.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
So are you saying not all columbines are this colour? You botanists really like to confuse the matter don't you. I remember the old days when roses were red and violets weren't.
Good composition of the scene Kathy and lovely colours in this oh so not too often seen bloom. Nice details and focus in the photo.
Gorgeous shot as well.
