This is my last columbine for this year - such a pretty yellow and white one that is growing beneath an old tree as you can see from the trunk in the background. The light colored leaves at the bottom right are coral bells which were just in the early stage and not yet ready to bloom.

Too bad the flowers didn't last longer...they're so delicate and pretty! Superb shot Kathy!!!

Kathy...

I'm terribly sorry. I'm almost tempted to say, "Great shot. Thanks for sharing." This flower shot is breathtaking. I can't come up with a critique once again. I guess if I wanted to nitpick, I'd tell you to clone out the blurred flower on the right, but that's not necessary.

P.S. I'll be at O'Hare for an hour a week from Wednesday. I'll wave as I fly over. My plane will probably be the one with the dark smoke trailing behind the engines. :-)

You know Kathy - I believe you have been in my garden because I have columbines and coral bells growing side by side :) :)

I love the sunny and warm tones anf graceful lines of this beautiful capture.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I knew I should have used my free columbine coupon before now. But I thought I still had time before they were all gone. Thanks for the view of the dwindling stock. Colour me jealous as they say. Lovely soft colours and nice details in your capture Kathy.
