Also known as Lenten rose - a member of the same family as ranunculi. Common in all of Europe, the Mediterranean region and Turkey. The greatest concentration being found in the Balkans.
It's a beautiful flower, Kathy....but somethings wrong with the exposure.That big green leaf underneath it is almost white, while the leaves in the upper left are between normal and underexposed. Are you experimenting , or want the flower to be much lighter? It's a tough one when the sun is almost right overhead.
