Every summer my husband and I and two other couples we worked with for 31 years spend a day in early August at the races to celebrate the summer birthdays among the group. I have other images I'll post individually but this is a glimpse from, what some race writers have said is, the most beautiful racetrack in the country. When we visit each year, on what is usually a beautiful day, we all agree that this is so much better than being in our stuffy glass tower of an office in downtown Chicago.

When I lived in the Chicago Area I used to go there and see the fireworks on July 4th for a number of years...Pretty much second only to the ones in Chicago itself...Thanks for sharing...

A good collage and great photos Kathy. Maybe you could crack a window down at that stuffy office. I suggest bouncing the office copier off it a few times, that should produce a nice crack.
