This shot was taken from the patio terrace near the Clubhouse Entrance. This is the paddock and saddling enclosure. There are 14 stalls in the building where the horses wait before their race. They are saddled in the stall and then led around the saddling ring where after one go around the call goes out: "Riders Up!" The jockeys then mount the horses and they proceed by number order through the tunnel under the main building and out onto the track. On the track they meet up with their lead pony. Most frequently European trained horses do not use a lead pony.
