This was an unusually bright orange mum planted in front of my condo building this fall - usually orange mums tend to a rusty color but not these - they were in-your-face orange! My FF pic for today.

Imagine my disappointment upon opening this image and finding out it had nothing to do with oranges. I thought finally I will discover why they are called oranges. It's like whoever was in charge of naming things that day just gave up or had spent way too much time figuring out the platypus. I will have to struggle on with my ignorance I guess. :-)

This is a fine image of these brightly coloured flower thingies Kathy. Nice clarity, details and lighting in the photo.
