This is a very old cemetery located on the property of the Society of the Divine Word Missionaries. All the elder members of my family - my great grandparents, my grandparents and my great aunts and uncles are all buried here. It is about 22 miles north of the city of Chicago. When I was a child the area around it was all farmland. Now it is sandwiched between Northbrook and Glenview - two of the north shore suburbs of Chicago. As life's turns would have it, I live only about 5-7 minutes from here. The cemetery is private and for priests, brothers and sisters of the Divine Word ministry. There are some none ministerial people buried here, such as my family members. My great grandmother had a cousin who was a priest of this order and also the provost so I assume that is how they obtained those plots. This statue is in front of the section where the brothers and priests are buried.
