This church sits in the center of downtown in the village of Northbrook, a northern suburb of Chicago. It began in 1892 when the village was called Shermerville and was a community of mostly emigrant German farmers. It became Northbrook in 1922 the same year this church became Presbyterian. This building was completed in 1949. The bell tower contains a carillon which plays at noon and 6:00pm daily.

Kathy dear, if this is not a great masterpiece then I do not know what is ?!!! Love the red-white setting, then the details like bell and door are like my most beloved sweet cranberries and hazel nuts [am not hungry - just finished daily dose of both LOL].
To quote our SAS - great composition and textures too.

The church, tree and bell make for great photos subjects, Kathy.
Colorful to say the least.
