This is also known as spiderwort or Tradescantia. It's considered invasive and some people consider it a weed. However this is a hybridized version which has the bad traits eliminated. I found this flower and buds in a spot of sun earlier this month.

The one centered bloomin' blossom, next to the unopened buds, leads the viewer to only imagine what is yet to come. Nice work Kathy.

Kathy - We have some in our shade garden. They are tricky to photograph - you did them justice with this capture. Well done. Thad

To me it's the tradescantia andersoniana. I searched for information on the net, but couldn't find proper information in the English language. By checking out THIS LINK one see a list with some species of the tradescantia, but the andersoniana species isn't mentioned.

Wonderful capture again Kathy!

Regards, Cornelius.

Another beauty, Kathy. I had no idea spiders had warts. I really learn a lot on this site. Lovely colours and nice details in the photo. A little cropping from the right and bottom wouldn't hurt.
