Another possible for the history contest. This was the equipment farmers had to use in the mid 19th century along with their sturdy draft horses. Not exactly the air conditioned John Deeres' in use today!
Very long working days and probably hot days as well in the time that cars, planes, radio, TV, airco, and so on, were not common or were even unknown phenomenons. A good time-document Kathy!

That was hard work for men and horses Kathy. It is the same in almost every profession. In the sixties and seventies and early eighties We had to use a sextant and try to "catch" a few stars after sundown or just before sunrise and then calculate our position. Today every mobile phone has a GPS which is accurate to a few yards! How I would have loved to have one of those in those days.
Wow...that is vintage!! The wheels are sunk down in the ground and there is rust and wood decaying. It's interesting that the wheel rims are made of different pieces of wood joined together and you can still see how they avoided the knot holes with the nail spikes.
Kathy, they truly worked hard from dawn to dusk! I can't imagine what they would think if they saw our big machines these days. I really like the post work on this one, you did a superb job. Tigs♥ =^..^=
