This is the back side of the carriage barn and you can see the top of the barn doors that swung open. But what really caught my eye was the roof line with this entire row of cast iron eagles. I don't know if it was a dcor element only or if they served a functional purpose. If anybody knows please enlighten me.

Well the roof is really unique, now in my line of thought I would say they are there to prevent the drifting snow to come down on them when coming out of the doors with the carriages and horses. That's what I think they are for. Very interesting and wonderful shot

Eagles on the barn roof - I suppose no special reason. Good shot Kathy.

Never seen anything like that before so I have no idea. But it's a unique capture!

It keeps the pigeons away , Kathy--not to mention the horse flies. :)

Kathy, the idea of Tick is not so bad (Hope he's not fooling us): it would be scarecrows. To me Pat's idea is on the second place, LOL!!!
