This old farmhouse had a wonderful garden next to it as you see on the left bottom and of course a walk-in root cellar to store the bounty for winter. I would love to have a root cellar - I'm always throwing away sprouting potatoes! No place in a 3rd floor condo to store things like that.

Nice capture here Kathy. The shadows on the wall add to the beauty of this scene.

Talented work on this photo, Kathy! I like your perspective, treatment and those shadows Raj mentioned. Fantastico.

Root cellar's can be scary. All those movies, the bad guys always hide down there. Enjoy your condo!

These make good storm shelters as well Kathy.
Last one in, closes the door.
Well captured and presented.

Unboiled potatoes in a fridge is not good alternative Kathy, LOL!!

Good composition / image of this 'nostalgic' house with 'character'.

Everything about this image is wonderful. The angle, the light-shadows, the treatment and most of all...the subject!! Makes me homesick.

Well I don't know about a root cellar, but the entrance here is like the entrance into OUR basement!!! And thats no joke. We have an inside entrance but its on the floor in a room. We live in a very old house that used to be a farm house in the 20's. We're still remodeling when funds are available...lol...Lovely shot Kathy!!! I'd live there!!!

Nice one, Kathy. I grew up in a house much like that, with the same grade doors into the cellar.
