A phalaenopsis orchid seemingly reaching for the greenhouse light. It's so cold today we all are reaching for the light - today it's -8F with wind chills of -35F. I am not venturing out today!
You sure brought out the detail of this lovely orchid. Kathy we have about the same temps here today, and I'm hunkered down for the day. Thank you for this lovely post, to brighten up the day. tigs=^..^=
To me, this is a remarkable result for such a bright background Kathy. The contrasting colors of the orchid haven't even diminished. It is as if these difficult lighting conditions do not effect your photography. Think you wish that the severe weather conditions didn't have effect to you as well, lol. Please take care!

This is a beautiful orchid Kathy!!! Love everything about it and especially the spots and/or freckles in bright fuschsia coloring. Nicely done and presented!!! Currently the temperature is 18 degrees - we're in the midst of a "heatwave" as compared to other areas of the country lol.

Wow, this blossom really pops even with the background being so bright, spectacular colours and detail and like the way it's face is looking for the sunlight
A good angle and DoF in this close up , Kathy. Nice details and lovely colours in the bloom. In solidarity with you, I too will boycott going outside until Mother Nature sees fit to warm things up.
